Prolonged sitting in front of a computer, in a car, or at a desk can result in poor posture habits that ultimately cause a wide range of problems such as chronic back or neck pain. Flat feet is a key risk factor for poor posture. This foot condition can be caused by genetic factors, weak arches, injuries, arthritis, tendon ruptures, or poor footwear. It occurs when there is a collapse in the foot arch which causes the feet to overpronate, or roll inwards. This places high stress loads to the ankles, knees, hips, and lower back, which lead to pain and stiffness throughout the body. A few tips to keep the body in alignment is to bring your shoulders down and away from your ears to not hunch the upper back. Evenly distribute your body weight to the front, sides, and back of the feet. Remember to take frequent breaks during long periods of sitting or staring at a screen. Lastly, proper footwear or orthotics, and strengthening or stretching of the deep neck flexors, trapezius muscle, abdominal muscles, and hip muscles may help correct poor posture. I have been running for my most of my life, typically running 2-4 marathons, half marathons or trail ultramarathons per year. In the last couple of years I have had a few injuries and bothers with one of my hips off and on.
As I was preparing for my first race of the year, I started using Joint Formula before my long training runs and the race itself.
I ran this year's BMO Vancouver Half Marathon completely without pain or stiffness during or after the race. Not only did I have a very comfortable evenly paced race, I beat my time goal and felt good enough to go for an easy, light hike in the afternoon.
I'm very happy with the results from Joint Formula 14 and will continue to use this as I prepare for my upcoming 32k and 50k races later this summer.
I have been using Joint 14 now for two years and has greatly alleviated my knee pain but recently got glute pain and lower back pain and was wondering if anything u have will also alleviate that pain
Regards
It has been 14 days but still no improvement in pain due to Osteoarthritis. Have a sister who swears by SierraSil so will continue to see if there is a difference.
