Do you have Valentine’s Reservations or Reservations about Valentine’s?

If you're on the fence and have a 'Valentine' in your life, stop reading momentarily, order flowers or chocolates and make a dinner reservation. Better yet, visit SierraSil’s online store and get something fast (so at least you can say you have the gift of health on the way)!

But what exactly is a Valentine? According to vocabulary.com, a Valentine is defined as the following:

There are many words for someone you like in a romantic way, such as sweetie, main squeeze, boyfriend, girlfriend, significant other, and special someone. Another is valentine, though you'll mainly hear this word on Valentine's Day: February 14. Asking "Will you be my valentine?" is like asking "Will you go out with me?" and saying "I like you." Sending a card is a common way to let someone know you want to be their valentine.

A good way to show love besides a gift is self-care, which I'm reminded of when I do a Peloton ride with Benjamin Alldis! Ben reminds his far-flung class, whether live on a Peloton bike, or like me just using their app on a phone or "pad" while riding an alternate bike, that getting in better shape is a gift not just for ourselves, but for those we love and/or those who depend on us.

So if your health-focused New Year's resolutions have slipped, don't beat yourself up over it. Everyone stumbles! Instead, use this weekend leading into Valentine's Day to refocus. That’s not to say it’s easy! From personal experience, dealing with stress or whatever takes my mind off the ball, I get that there is no magic bullet. It takes mental toughness and a vision of being healthier and better in the years ahead.

Watching my elderly parents deal with a myriad of underlying health conditions from anxiety to physical ailments, including weight for my dad, created a loss in their degrees of independence. I bring this up because the sooner you 'take control' the better. The better the chance you can enjoy going for walks as the weather gets better this spring, the better the chance to pursue your favourite activities this coming summer, and the better chance to stay strong and independent well into your senior years.

Another popular Peloton trainer is Dennis Morton. He's famous in our house for saying, 'I make suggestions, you make decisions!' So this Valentine's Day, I hope you accept my suggestion to be your healthy best, for yourself and as the best gift you can give your Valentine. It’s your decision!

If you are already using SierraSil, I hope you have experienced its wonderful benefits and have benefited from fewer sore joints and muscles. We are one of the very few supplement companies that have tested our multi-ingredient supplements to see if the ingredients play nicely with each other (which is so appropriate for Valentine's). It was important to us to do the research, as we know that SierraSil is absorptive, helping to chelate heavy metals from your body. Research at the University of British Columbia’s Food Sciences confirmed that SierraSil did play nicely with glucosamine, curcumin and other ingredients tested and didn’t tangibly intervene with the absorption of their actives.
